The Betty & Gordon Moore Library
Situated in front of the entrance to the Centre for Mathematical Studies the Betty & Gordon Moore Library (BGML) provides the University’s major working collections in Science and Technology. This Library brings together all the collections for the faculties of mathematics, physics, astronomy, computer science, materials science, engineering, biological, chemical, earth and environmental sciences. In addition to the collections the Library provides work and study areas available to all.
Holders of a valid University card do not need to apply separately for borrowing rights with the Library.
Visitors to CMS are free to visit the Library and make use of the study spaces and collections with no University card or registration being required.
Visitors who wish to borrow from the collections require a temporary access card to which the Library staff would affix a barcode.
To explore wider borrowing rights (e.g. from the main University Library) visitors should apply for membership there (the BGML would automatically be included in that registration).
