We discuss some recent advances in the categorical representation theory programme through the perspective of the Temperley—Lieb algebra. We will touch on work of Khovanov, Brundan and Stroppel, Elias and then recent joint work with Maud De Visscher, Amit Hazi and Catharina Stroppel.
