Tropical Tevelev degrees count covers with prescribed

stabilized source and target. In this talk, I will explore the one-dimensional fibers of the corresponding source–target map, describing their construction as graphs and the local moves that give rise to cycles. I will discuss examples and a proposed formula for the first Betti number of the fiber. This is joint work with Alessio Cela.
