I am an INFORMED AI Hub Postdoctoral Research Associate based in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, at the University of Cambridge. From November 2022 to September 2024 I was postdoctoral fellow of the MathInGreaterParis programme, cofunded by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions.
I received my Ph.D. from the Engineering Department of the University of Cambridge, where I was working in the Signal Processing and Communications Laboratory and was a member of Darwin College. I obtained my undergraduate degree in computer science from Athens University of Economics and Business.
I am broadly interested in information theory and its connections with other areas of mathematics like probability, additive combinatorics, and convex analysis. I am also interested in applications to statistics, communications, and data compression. My research interests include in particular discrete and continuous entropy power inequalities, entropic limit theorems, approximate capacity results and finite blocklength analysis. I like information-theoretic proofs of probabilistic results and non-asymptotic bounds.
