The Athens Probability Colloquium is a one-day event centered around three probability/statistics research talks happening every year in Athens. The talks are meant for a general statistics/probability audience and the colloquium aims to bring together researchers based at or close to the Athens area.
At the International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT) 2024 GM Vasilios Kotronias played a simultaneous exhibition chess game against 30 participants of the conference and talked about how AI has transformed the game of chess. We also had a talk on the state of the art chess engines given by Jonathan_Rosenthal .
