Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge.

I am interested in Algebraic and Geometric Topology, in particular: moduli spaces, cobordism categories, spaces of manifolds, configuration spaces, mapping class groups, surgery, characteristic classes, K-theory, and applications of homotopy theory to geometry. My short CV and long CV.

I am an editor of the Journal of Topology and the Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society.

I am a member of the Copenhagen centre for Geometry and Topology.

I am organising an Oberwolfach Seminar on Cellular Ek-algebras, 31 May-6 June 2020, with Søren Galatius and Alexander Kupers.

I am organising Manifolds and K-Theory: the legacy of Andrew Ranicki at ICMS, Edinburgh, 21 - 25 June 2021, with Clark Barwick, Diarmuid Crowley, and Ulrike Tillmann.
