A logician, a model and a dressing-gown

Here you see your humble correspondent modelling the dressing gown of his great-grandfather Otto Billeter Snr. The beautiful young woman in the frame is an artist's model by the name of Gabrielle Johnston, who was the first person to appear naked on New Zealand Television.
I have often wondered whether an early interest in chemistry is a prodromal sign of later mathematics; mine certainly was. People talk about mathematics and music but i think the link to chemistry is probably just as important. It's something to do with syntax.
