This week the new roof took shape. In particular, for the first time I was able to climb up a ladder into the new loft (eventually there will be stairs!) and get a sense of the new space. I was pleased by the sense of decent head height and the size of the dormer: this had been the real sticking point with our planning permission fight.

The wooden framework below is the beginnings of the loft en suite bathroom:
