By the middle of the second week, most of the rubble was cleared away and the outline of the studio foundation visible:

By the weekend, our grass was happily gone, and the ditches for the soak away and services had been dug, and in some cases filled. The soak away is a modern requirement: the run-off from the gutters and drain pipes will now feed into a pipe which drains into the center of the lawn, a couple of feet down. As a bonus, the garden should become an alligator-infested swamp during rainy periods.
