The meeting will begin at 2pm and will feature talks by Terence Tao (UCLA) on ''Ergodic Theory, Arithmetic Progressions and the Primes'' and by Vitaly Bergelson (Ohio State) on ''Ergodic Ramsey Theory and Properties of Large Sets''.

 

 

 

Workshop on Additive Combinatorics

Featuring mini lecture series by Tim Gowers, Ben Green, Roger Heath-Brown*, Bernard Host, Imre Ruzsa and Terence Tao.

Invited lectures by Vitaly Bergelson, Ernie Croot, Sergei Konyagin, Imre Leader, Alexander Leibman, Elon Lindenstrauss, Alex Samorodnitsky, Mathias Schacht, and Ilya Shkredov.

 

The concern of the workshop will be the many different methods (harmonic analysis, combinatorics and ergodic theory) used to study arithmetic progressions, as well as recent applications to number theory.
