The conference marks the 50th anniversary of the Birch-Swinnerton-Dyer Conjecture and aims both to explain the status of our knowledge and to reflect on the modern approaches to the conjecture and related problems. It is linked to a Royal Society Kavli Centre workshop on May 2-3 on the same topic, but while the workshop is limited to 20 participants due to the Royal Society restrictions and is fully booked, the conference is open for everyone to attend.
